Riesling Vendanges Tardives 2017

Taste

The robe is pale gold with green reflections, a crystalline sheen and beautiful tears.

The nose is open on citrus notes (lime, blood orange, pink grapefruit).

On the palate, the attack is silky, slightly pearly and elegant with delicate honeyed and candied lemon notes. The mid-palate has a nice fatness and freshness. The finish is harmonious, superbly well balanced between the softness and vivacity of the Riesling.

To be drunk now for its extraordinary fruit or to forget in your cellar for at least a decade.

The Riesling will be perfect for aperitifs, foie gras in terrine or fried. But also with pastries, pies, creams and mousses or just for pleasure!

History

Riesling is the Rhenish grape variety par excellence and the oldest known in Alsace. It has been cultivated since the 15th century. It is considered one of the most prestigious white grape varieties in the world!

Its grapes with small green berries lighten slightly in the sun and ripen late. They require particularly favourable soil exposure. Riesling is undoubtedly the grape variety that best expresses the geological identity of its terroir.
