Riesling Hahnenberg 2020 Magnum

Taste

Evolving over the hills of Haut Koenigsbourg, it has benefited from its environment at moderate altitude, around 350 m altitude, to develop all its assets.

A typical golden white colour with a beautiful clarity and brightness. The nose reveals some notes of aniseed (characteristic of a Riesling Hahnenberg older than three years) and hawthorn. In the mouth it develops richness with a good acidic support with a fruity taste at the end.

It has all the advantages of a good wine that can be kept for many years.

Gastronomy

This Riesling 2018 Hahnenberg accompanies with ease and simplicity a good sauerkraut or let yourself be tempted by a small aperitif accompanied by a verrine of St. Jacques and smoked bacon.

History

King of the wines of Alsace by his seniority among the Rhine vines. It has been cultivated since the 15th century and is considered one of the most prestigious white grapes in the world!

Its small grapes, like green beans, slowly ripen in the sun and have a late maturity. They require soil exposure particularly favourable to the sun. The Riesling grape is probably the one that best expresses the identity of its geologic soil.
